March 11, 2010 — Business Executives for National Security (BENS) has selected Laura Willoughby as its Washington, D.C., Metro Area regional director. Willoughby most recently served as director of marketing communications at iJET Intelligent Risk Systems, an Annapolis-based global intelligence company. She was previously executive director of the Chesapeake Regional Technology Council (Anne Arundel Tech Council), a non-profit membership organization representing technology companies in the Baltimore-Washington Corridor. BENS is a national non-profit focused on strengthening our nation's security.
March 11, 2010 — Risk & Insurance Magazine, a publication focusing on the risk management industry, has named Harry C. Wallace of Riggs, Counselman, Michaels & Downes, Inc. (RCM&D) as a Power Broker in their annual list of the most influential commercial insurance brokers. Wallace currently serves as senior vice president and Life Science practice leader with RCM&D. March 11, 2010 — The University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business announced former Pepco Holdings Inc. president, board chair and CEO Dennis R. Wraase has joined the Center for Social Value Creation as its first executive-in-residence. Wraase will support the center's mission to engage students in courses and experiential learning programs, enabling them to become global leaders who understand how to use business as a vehicle for both economic prosperity and transformative social change. The center also supports faculty research in areas related to social responsibility and sustainability.

March 9, 2010 — MMG, a patient recruitment and retention group, has appointed Ann Kottcamp to vice president/senior strategist of MMG's central nervous system and mental health therapeutic areas. Kottcamp most recently served as president of Argonauta Communications, Inc. in Edgewater. Before that time, she served as CEO of Pharmaceutical Research Plus, and conducted preclinical research at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke and the National Institute of Mental Health. Additionally, she worked at Louisiana State University Medical Center in the department of pharmacology through a grant from the National Institute for Drug Addiction (NIDA). MMG is a Ketchum company and part of the Omnicom Group family.
